It takes time to master object-oriented programming and design.
True! It is easy to understand the basic tenets, features and ideas of OOP. However, it takes considerable time to master the analysis, design and implementation techniques to create quality solutions using object-oriented technology. As they say, nothing good ever comes easy!
for you to write a program, you should know first the logic. then you should know/understand what are the uses of the codes/syntax for you to create a program..
Methods don't do anything until you call them into action. Before we see how, let's add another class to the project. We can then put all the methods there, instead of clogging up the main class. (You'll start learning more about classes in the next section.)

Java has been tested, refined, extended, and proven by a dedicated community. More than 9 million Java developers makes it the largest and most active development community on the planet. With its versatilty, efficiency, and portability, Java has become invaluable to developers by enabling them to:
Write software on one platform and run it on virtually any other platform Create programs that can run within a web browser and access available web services Develop server-side applications for online forums, stores, polls, HTML forms processing, and more Combine applications or services using the Java language to create highly customized applications or services Write powerful and efficient applications for mobile phones, remote processors, low-cost consumer products, and practically any other device with a digital heartbeat
One characteristic of Java is portability, which means that computer programs written in the Java language must run similarly on any hardware/operating-system platform. This is achieved by compiling the Java language code to an intermediate representation called Java byte code, instead of directly to platform-specific machine code.
Web Applets One of the features of Java that make it attractive to game developers is the Java Applet. When a Java programmer packages his game as an applet he can host it on a Web server, and let users run and play the game through their Web browsers. This distribution platform eliminates the need for end users to download or install the game. Instead, players need only to visit the developer's website and they can begin immediately playing the game.

There are lots of applications and websites that won't work unless you have Java installed, and more are created every day. Java is fast, secure, and reliable. From laptops to datacenters, game consoles to scientific supercomputers, cell phones to the Internet, Java is everywhere!
Java is a general purpose programming language with a number of features that make the language well suited for use on the World Wide Web. Small Java applications are called Java applets and can be downloaded from a Web server and run on your computer by a Java-compatible Web browser, such as Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer.
